Pregnancy Yoga

Caroline's pregnancy yoga class was the highlight of my week. Not only were the stretching, exercises and relaxation wonderful for me and my little bambino, I also loved the informative way that Caroline conducted the class. We had opportunities to discuss anything we had any worries about, and for a first time mum that is just invaluable. I am looking forward to continuing yoga right up to and during the birth of my baby.

The pregnancy yoga classes were fantastic. I started them at 24 weeks and I got so much out of them. Firstly I loved the time for myself, getting out of the house and having the time to concentrate on me and baba. It was lovely meeting all the girls and hearing their stories about how they're feeling etc and sharing tips with each other for various ailments that one may or may not have during pregnancy... I really committed myself to the classes and was determined that the movements and breathing I learned were going to get me though labour. And they did! Of course no one can plan for what happens on the day but you can be as prepared as possible and I undoubtedly know I would not have got through my labour the way I did without these classes. Caroline is so friendly and nice, she makes everyone feel welcome and puts you at ease.. She is warm and caring but also realistic about what may/may not happen on the day! The best thing is to have an open mind!

Mummy's tummy is no ordinary yoga class-it's a nurturing environment where expectant mums can take time out of the daily grind to relax, rejuvenate and connect with their babies. Caroline is no ordinary yoga teacher either-she is a mum of two who can really empathise and support the expectant mums in her class. She is full of advice and useful tips to help with the sometimes bumpy road to becoming a mum!
I started pregnancy yoga with Caroline when I was about 16 weeks pregnant with my first baby (now 17 months). I'd heard about the course from a friend but I was totally unprepared for just how beneficial it would prove to be. I'd done a bit of yoga before but Caroline's class is entirely tailored to pregnant mums and the postures are adapted to ensure you get safe relief from the aches and pains of pregnancy as well as strengthening the body in preparation for labour. I was lucky enough to experience a very positive and active birthing experience and I have Caroline to thank for giving me the skills and confidence to get through it all! I am back with Caroline again for pregnancy number two and I am hoping she will work her magic one more time!

Active Birth Workshops

Caroline, your Active Birth Workshop was such a valuable experience for us both. I turned up to the workshop with a husband and left with a birth partner! Your warm, practical, light-hearted and honest approach to all aspects of Labour & Delivery was so helpful and made us both more informed and less overwhelmed about what was ahead ... and when things kicked-off we both felt empowered and prepared, the yoga breathing was especially useful throughout the experience.

The workshop was very informative and certainly de-mystified the labour and birth for us both. I knew zero about what to expect and it was great to be more informed and be able to support Sally on the day.

I loved the workshop, great fun, full of really practical tips and great that the husbands get to learn some stuff too, that really is invaluable on the day. Also allows you to rely on hubby a bit more as he can guide you through the contractions with breathing techniques or positive affirmations

The Active Birth Workshop, while 3 hours long, moves pacily along and covers everything you need and was really enjoyable. Great for either first timers or for revision. From a partners point of view it was good to have the breathing options and positions that were used in the yoga classes, these were a great help on the big day

We enjoyed a very informative active birth workshop with Caroline. It was particularly helpful for my husband who hadn't a clue what to expect! He feels much more prepared for the birth equipped with plenty of tips for being active and useful in the lead up to and on the big day! Thanks Caroline.

I'd thoroughly recommend this workshop for soon to be dads who need a quick fix solution to the pending new arrival. It was an enjoyable and informative afternoon.

Baby Massage

Caroline's baby massage class provided me with a unique and enjoyable way of bonding with my daughter
Ed Ramsay

Having the good fortune to know Caroline as an excellent therapist during my pregnancy, I was excited to attend the course she runs in Baby Massage after the birth of my daughter. It was a small class of about 5 women and our babies.  Over the course of 4 weeks we learned the art of baby massage. Each week focused on a different part of the body... legs, tummy and chest, face/head/back and then the full body massage at the last class with fathers also attending. The class was great from a social point of view as a chance to meet other new mums and talk about baby stuff!

The massage itself was wonderful. It really built my confidence in touching and handling my tiny girl. Caroline had copies each week of articles related to massage and its benefits for us to take home. These were great to give a deeper understanding of the benefits and purpose of massage - aiding circulation and digestion and learning about healthy touch to name but a few.  She also taught us brilliant rhymes to go along with the massage strokes, making the class great fun!

Sofia is now 6 months old and I find a massage is a great way to relax and stretch her out after a long car journey, to unwind before her bath and to quite literally 'get-in-touch' with her after a busy day of rushing about visiting friends and family. I find she really connects with me - making full eye-contact - and is very alert and relaxed during it.

I would highly recommend learning baby massage to everyone.

Mum and Baby Yoga

Caroline's Mum and Baby Yoga class is simply one of the highlights of our week. It is such a fantastic class for both mum and baby. I have found it a wonderful class for me on so many levels. It has allowed me to meet and form friendships with other mums, gain advice and support for all the many questions that face you as a new mum and best of all it has allowed me time to exercise during the day to tone my whole body but especially my tummy muscles, while at the same time feeling relaxed and rejuvenated after a lovely yoga class. The benefits and joy of sharing this class with my son Oscar are endless... it has allowed us bond while having lots of fun, improved his sleeping pattern by day and night and has relieved/avoided any wind and constipation issues as it acts like a natural laxative!!! There is nothing better than seeing all the lovely babies lying and playing together on the toy mat in the centre of the studio while we are getting much needed mummy time. We've been enjoying this class for 4 months now and hope to continue for many more :)

Post Natal Yoga

Having attended Caroline's classes weekly throughout my pregnancy, then baby massage & yoga after I had my little girl, I was delighted to start the post-natal yoga. Being a busy mum, I always look forward to my weekly class to help me unwind, get a really good stretch and soothe any pains I still suffer from even 18 months post natal! Caroline is a fabulous teacher and really makes me feel at ease, giving a fun class but always a really good workout every time. I also always have a brilliant sleep the night of the class. Highly Recommended.
